Qalyptus December 2023

We are happy to announce the release of the Qalyptus December 2023 version. This new version comes with many improvements and bug fixes. This release notes concerns Qalyptus Desktop, Qalyptus Server, and the Qalyptus extension for Qlik Sense.

1- Protect output files for opening and writing

The user can password-protect the output report files generated by Qalyptus Server for both opening and writing.
You can protect all file types that support password protection: Xlsx, Docx, Pptx, Pdf, etc.
When you add a report to a task, check the “Protect output file” option and enter an open or write password or both.

2- Send one email to many recipients or an email to each recipient

Before this version, Qalyptus Server sends, by default, a separate email to each task recipient. Now, you can also send one email to all the task recipients.

3- Duplicate Items (Tasks, Filters, …) in Qalyptus Server

As in Qalyptus Desktop, you can now duplicate Tasks, Filters, Schedules, Destinations, and Conditions in Qalyptus Server.

4- Improve task disabling/enabling

The task Disable/Enable button has been moved to the General tab in the task. You can also disable/enable a task from the task list screen without editing the task.

A new button allows you to disable/enable multiple tasks.

5- Search objects in the template editor

The search option is enabled in the Qalyptus Desktop template editor. You can now search objects added to the Used tab.

6- Limit the number of subscriptions per user

It is possible now to limit the number of subscriptions per user. By default, the number of subscriptions is unlimited. To limit the number of subscriptions, go to Qalyptus Server > Administration > General Settings and enter the maximum subscription number.

The limitation concerns the subscriptions created in Qalyptus HUB, Qalyptus Notify, and Qalyptus Self-Reporting.

7- Filter by the current app in the Qalyptus extensions for Qlik Sense

The user can now filter the report list in Qalyptus On-demand, Qalyptus Self-Reporting, and Qalyptus Notify by the current Qlik Sense app. This option will help the user to see only the reports using the current Qlik Sense app.

8- Support expression for Qalyptus Server URL in the Qalyptus extensions

To use the Qalyptus extensions for Qlik Sense, you must add your Qalyptus Server URL in the extension configuration area. Now you can add the URL using a Qlik Sense expression starting with the equal symbol (=), providing dynamic URL support.

9- Hide or show a link to my subscriptions in the subscription email footer

Introduced an option to hide or show a link to user subscriptions in the subscription email footer, giving you control over email appearance.

10- Other improvements and bug fixes 

• Ignore sending emails to cc and bcc email addresses in test mode.
• Add new API and points: GET /api/v1/tasks/executions/{id} and GET /api/v1/ondemand/requests/{id}.
• Fix the on-demand request error.
• Fix the bug in Qalyptus Desktop; we cannot click “No” in a message box when leaving a screen without saving.
• Fix the pagination issue that occurs in Iteration in Word.
• Hidden Qlik Sense sheets are no longer visible in the selection list when you choose the sheet to subscribe to.
• Improve Qaluptus Server license activation to avoid invalid license errors.
